How was created Paris on Demand?
Pierre, the man behind Paris on Demand, is a Parisian who lives in Montmartre, just a few feet away from the Place du Tertre and the Sacré-Coeur. In love with Paris, he takes every opportunity to visit the city to discover the latest exhibitions, good addresses or new stores.
With a camera in hands, he is looking for the details that make Paris so fascinating.
In 2010, he decided to share his passion for Paris and his organizational skills with tourists and created Paris on Demand. His goal? To help tourists discover the cultural wealth of Paris by designing custom-tailored programs the goal is to take into account the profile of the travelers and to offer them a custom-designed service and offer them the best of the capital!
Who is Pierre, the founder of Paris on Demand?
Pierre, a thirtyish entrepreneur graduated from the Essec Business School. A passionate traveler, he loves to meet tourists and travelers from all around the world. After working for an American consulting firm, he occupied different marketing positions in consumer goods and service companies. Living in Paris, he never misses an opportunity to discover new places and share them with Paris on Demand’s clients!
Now let Pierre say a few words:
« I have always been fascinated by Paris. There is always something going on, an exhibition, the renovation of a new monument, cultural events. It is a city that lives and has so many things to offers! Because I live in Montmatre, I soon came to realize that most tourists never strayed from the itineraries organized by the tour operators. I got very frustrated to see them follow the torrent of tourists and only visit the Sacré-Cœur, the Place du Tertre and the Moulin Rouge. I really found it a shame because Montmartre is a district with a real identity, a fascinating story and a tremendous amount of atypical or unknown places that are a testimony to its history and heritage.
I thus started organizing visits for my friends in order to show them the « real Paris ». I have always reveled in organizing custom-designed circuits or itineraries. The idea of launching an official company soon came to me. This is how Paris on Demand was born.
My clients often tell me that it not easy to know what is worth visiting. The tourist guides are not always clear, the forums contain lots of contradictory information and two persons can have very different experiences, because everything depends on their expectations and their ways of traveling. This is why I always make sure to understand who my clients are and what their interests are. Because even though Paris is a relatively small city, it offers a phenomenal number of things to see! And then it is a city that lives, that moves around the clock, that renews itself constantly. It is my role to know what is going on to offer the best to my clients !”
