Paris Fashion Week: the undisputed Mecca of the fashion world

January 18, 2012

Fashion Weeks have sprung up around the globe in recent years. You have the New York Fashion Week, the London Fashion Week and the Milan Fashion Week, just to name the most famous ones, but for many designers and people in the industry, only the Paris Fashion Week is the premier week of the year, the not to be missed trade event.

Orchestrated citywide twice a year at some of the French capital’ s most prominent points of interest, like for instance the Carrousel du Louvre or the Grand Palais, and attended by many celebrities and fashion world icons, the numerous fashion shows, expositions and parties showcase all the designs of the upcoming season and set the trends that are followed by style watchers all over the globe.

If nowadays, Paris is no longer the sole international fashion capitals of the world, its fashion week is however the perfect reminder that the city remains the driving force in the fine art of Haute Couture.
