Epicure restaurant Bristol

The Bristol Palace was awarded the status of Palace in early 2011. A real consecration for this hotel located just a few blocks away from the Elysées Palace, the official residence of the French President. The fact that the Bristol is home to the Epicure, a 3 Michelin star restaurant, weighed heavily in the decision-making process.

The Epicure restaurant immediately offers tranquility and serenity. Its large windows open on the Bristol’s courtyard, an elegant French-style garden with large magnolia trees. The walls are decorated with classic paintings and elegant curtains in the most classic French tradition. The cuisine is an intense gastronomic journey. Each product is carefully selected with the utmost care.

Chef Eric Frechon has been running the restaurant for more than 10 years now and has a long story with it. He was trained at the Bristol in the early 1980s before improving his skills in other prestigious restaurants in France and Spain. He came back to the Bristol in 1999, just after it lost its second Michelin Star. Food critics have been showering him with compliments since his arrival. His huge talent and creativity soon helped the restaurant get back its prestige. The second Michelin Star was earned back in 2001 and the ultimate consecration came in 2009 when the restaurant earned its 3rd Michelin star.

Some of the most famous dishes include:

– Purple Sea Urchins

– Large Langoustines and Caviar

– Pot-Au-Feu with Black Truffle
