Salon du Chocolat, the world’s biggest event for chocolate lovers
Every year in November, visitors with a sweet tooth have a unique chance to treat themselves at the Paris “Salon du Chocolat” (Paris Chocolate Show). The fair which is being held at the Paris Congress Center in the 15th district is the world’s largest event dedicated to chocolate.
It gathers cocoa growers, culinary chefs and the world’s best chocolatiers happy to share their savoir-faire. Visitors have the opportunity , to take part in workshops, to attend cooking classes and conferences, and to taste all sorts of cocoa beans or chocolates from the musts such as white or black chocolates to new varieties and recipes invented by the world’s most talented chefs
The Paris edition is always closely linked to fashion as the highlight of the week is a fashion show featuring dresses and gowns made of… chocolate! Chantal Thomass was the honorary patronr of the 2011 edition.
This unique show takes place every day at 5pm.
The theme of the 2012 edition will be “the New Worlds of Chocolate”. No doubt this 18th edition will thrill chocolate lovers visiting Paris!
